The Bali province, a part of the Indonesian islands represents a cluster of the island of Bali and a few smaller neighbouring islands and is one of the most popular go-to destinations in South East Asia. Picturesque beaches, crystal clear water and a rich cultural heritage with temples all over the island make this a coveted destination on travel bucket lists. Depicted as a destination to find inner peace in the Julia Roberts starrer "Eat Pray Love", the destination lives up to that reputation.

The area also has among the highest biodiversity of marine species especially fish and turtles.

Given its close proximity to the equator, day time temperatures at low elevations vary between 20 to 33 °C (68 to 91 °F), but temperatures decrease significantly with increasing elevation.
